Living dialogue: Photographer Irina Kivimäe

23. October 6 pm will meet Irina Kivimäe - a well -known photographer, educator and social activist at the Rugodiv Chamber Concert Hall of the Culture House.

Irina Kivimäe has a professional education on specialist "Self-made Cinema and Photo Studios" and has been professionally professionally engaged in photography since 1976. He has been the organizer and manager of the Narva Photo Club for many years, attended Tartu Photo Days (2001-2003) and at the national photo camps of the Estonian Photo Art Society, where he has been repeatedly awarded with diplomas. Põltsamaa (2001) and Pärnu (2007) Grand Prix winner, Laureate of the Cultural Endowment Prize (2008).

A member of the Narva Artists' Association "Vestervalli". For about thirty years, Narvski Raboch and Narvskaya Gazeta worked as a photo correspondent. Author of the project "Kreenholm" (2009), Diplomant of an international exhibition in Poznań under the auspices of FIAP.

Worked as an educator at Narva Creative House, where he founded the photo studio "Positive" and also organized an international youth photo creation festival. Since 2014, the Non -profit Association is managed by NGO Author Foto.

He has been awarded the Order of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia (2018) and the Order of the City of Narva (2020). In recent years, he has been actively involved in exhibition activities: in 2023 his solo exhibition "Silver Ray" was held at the Narva Museum Art Gallery, but in 2025 he participated in the group exhibition "Three Views" in Jõhvi.

Irina Kivimäe is currently managing a photo of the author of the NGO, developing photo creation and supporting young people's initiatives.

Meeting ends with an open dialog - the audience can ask questions and discuss the topics covered.

The event is held in the framework of the Estonian Book of the Year.
