“Swingers 2” • in cinemas from April 3
If you put a bandage on a broken bone, would you expect to jump up and run right away? It turns out the same applies to swinging. Or rather — to the hope that a small (but never innocent) partner swap could magically fix all relationship problems.
Unfortunately, both Indrek and Elen, as well as Tiina and Andrus, have to learn this the hard way. These two couples from different backgrounds are still struggling to keep their relationships fresh. There are plenty of reasons — Indrek, once confident and bold, now has to watch as his ambitious wife achieves major business success, while his own risky investments in faraway countries have left him financially dependent on her.
He tries to compensate for his shortcomings with affairs, until he meets Inga, who has no intention of being just another conquest. Indrek soon learns what it feels like to become the target of a determined woman.
Andrus feels that the joy of life is slipping through his fingers and tries to express this to Tiina — unfortunately, with exactly the level of smoothness one might expect from an average Estonian man.
The solution to all their problems seems to be an intense couples therapy at a trendy new centre called “Draama-Maa”, where every possible relationship scenario can be acted out — and where entirely new and unexpected problems may arise. A colourful cast of characters adds to the chaos, all convinced that a little drama can only strengthen a relationship…
“Swingers 2” is the sequel to the carefree comedy that conquered Estonian cinemas in 2017. Familiar characters try to keep up with changing times while making sure they still have time for what truly matters in life.
