"MIRROR" - premiere of Savva Saveljev's play in Estonia!

In March 2027, the Estonian audience will see Savva Saveljev's play "Peegel" for the first time - a psychological drama in which subtle irony and sharp satire also have their place. The play is based on the story "The Silence of Doctor Murke" by Nobel Prize laureate Heinrich Böll and Kurt Vonnegut's famous novel "Slaughterhouse, Corps Five, or Children's Crusade". Starring Pavel Tabakov and Savva Saveljev.
Munich. 1965 year. Twenty years after the end of World War II.
A renowned scientist and a young rebel meet in the art history professor's apartment. A conversation that started as normal suddenly turns into an intellectual duel. Two generations, two opposing worldviews and one secret from the past.
Who has the right to judge another? Can your actions be justified by the circumstances of the era? And is it possible to escape from the past if it still lives on in us?
During the conversation, the roles of the characters change and the line between the accuser and the accused becomes more and more blurred.
Which of them will end up being the judge and which will be the defendant? And what does each see in their reflection?
The center of the play is the brilliant acting duo of Pavel Tabakov and Savva Saveljev. One and a half hours of engaging intellectual confrontation, where serious questions intertwine with subtle irony, sharp satire and unexpected plot twists.
"Mirror" is a story about the clash of generations, moral choices and responsibility towards the past. There are no clear-cut right or wrong here, and there are no ready-made answers. The play invites the viewer to look at familiar beliefs with a new look.
Because sometimes the hardest thing is not to look your opponent in the eye, but to face yourself.
