Two mature middle-aged male actors are planning to perform one of their bread and butter numbers again after a long time. For years, they have delighted the audience with their sketches, who had no idea that behind the scenes, the relationships of their favorites have been full of tension, accusations and rivalry.
Is this funny? Tragic? Humane?
The play with brilliant dialogue by the well-known American playwright Neil Simon deals with theater legends, having become a theater legend himself. The play, written in 1972, reached the Estonian stage with great success ten years later, where Eino Baskin and Aarne Üksküla were alternately opposite Jüri Järvet, who years later played the same story again as stage partners. However, the word "päikesepoiss" quickly caught on in Estonian as well.
