MTÜ Kultuurikaevandus is organising Kohtla-Nõmme Talvepilgar II on the grounds of the Eesti Kaevandusmuuseum
on Saturday, 7 February 2026
(Jaama 100, Kohtla-Nõmme borough, Toila Municipality, Ida-Viru County)
This year, Kohtla-Nõmme Talvepilgar II is held in grateful remembrance of our beloved dance teacher, the creator of winter dance festival programmes and the author of the name “Talvepilgar” — Urve Kilk.
This year we will dance her choreographic works and dances starting with the letter K, based on the first letter of her surname.
Let our feet dance and our hearts smile!
Programme:
11:00–12:00 — gathering and registration of groups
12:00–13:00 — lunch (with wristband)
13:00–13:30 — gathering at the stone altar of the Estonian Mining Museum
13:30 — Talvepilgar fire-lighting ceremony at the stone altar and procession to the dance area
Community dancing at Kohtla-Nõmme Talvepilgar on the outdoor grounds of the Estonian Mining Museum.
After dancing, participants are offered a warm drink in the gallery of the Mining Museum’s enrichment plant.
Handicraft sales available. Cafés open!
17:00–21:00 — SIMMAN on the 4th floor of the Mining Museum’s enrichment plant (with wristband).
Live broadcast of the simman on the 1st and 2nd floors.
Dance energy will be provided by the band NEDSAJA KÜLA BÄND,
with performances by the pop-folk dance ensemble UPPSAR during breaks.
Opportunity to visit the Estonian Mining Museum underground tour from 10:00 to 12:00.
