"Lea Teeääre introduces herself like this:
I was born on October 15, 1958 in Liiva village near Toila. Having lived in Jõhvi and Toila, I have been connected for a long time. Toila beach is a place from childhood and later school holidays. Summer days on the rocky beach of Toila, the smell of the sea, the wind and the water playing in the foam of the waves are always in my heart.
Perhaps it is these first memories related to the sea and nature that have taught me to notice places, moments and moods that I would like to save.
I studied in primary school in Jõhvi and for three years at Jõhvi Children's Art School. The education path further led me to study architecture at the Tallinn Construction and Mechanical Engineering School. The same major continued at Tallinn University of Technology and Tallinn University of Technology.
However, art has always been by my side. For several decades, I have been working with porcelain painting and ceramics at the Consumer Art Society CDE.
Architecture education and long-term work in the field of planning have taught me to notice the connections of space and form with the surrounding nature. Notice colors, light and moments.
While traveling and away from home, I have always had the drawing pad close at hand. Some places invite you to stop, some light remains in your memory, some moments want to be put on paper or in form in clay and porcelain.
While walking the trails of Toila again, I wanted to share my collected impressions
to share with others. That's how this exhibition was born - sort of
travel diary in art.
In these works, the places seen, memories,
emotions and moments that are important to me. Maybe not
the most important question is why Toila, but rather this,
what a place can leave in a person."
All art lovers are invited to the opening of the exhibition, who will be waiting for Lea with her creations and a small snack table.
The exhibition will remain open until November 26.
