We invite you to spend an evening at the model of Old Narva and travel to a city that has disappeared, but lives on in memories, paintings and museum stories.
In the dim hall, the guide gradually illuminates different city blocks, streets, shrines and residential buildings with a flashlight. The beam of light becomes a kind of guide through pre-war Narva: it moves along once familiar streets, stops at the facades of old buildings, peeks into courtyards and helps to imagine what the city looked like decades ago.
We see Narva as it was known by previous generations of citizens: with narrow streets, beautiful stone buildings, church towers and cozy courtyards.
The journey continues at the works of art belonging to the collection of the Narva Museum. Paintings and old city views help us to get closer to the lost world and to see, in addition to the architecture, the people who lived in the middle of these streets and houses.
Individual buildings, images and people's stories gradually form a complete picture of Old Narva - a city that no longer exists, but which is still an important part of Narva's memory.
This evening is not just an excursion, but a quiet encounter with a lost city, whose streets are visible again from the darkness in the light of a flashlight.
