The basketball league of the Optibet People's League East region is coming to an end.
Last week, 2 semi-final matches were held. In the first game, the 2nd place and the 3rd place of the main tournament, i.e. KK Hito/Proair and Lüganuse, faced each other. Since the semifinals are played in the best-of-two system, the first game took place at the home of the lower-ranked team.
Lýganus set a good pace at the beginning of the game and scored 32 points in the first quarter. In the second quarter, however, Hito was able to overcome the first scare and the engine of the game was started. I went to halftime 46:40 under the leadership of Lýganus.
However, in the third quarter, Lüganus' good momentum continued and the home team was able to throw Hito's basket full of balls again, and Lüganus led 73:54 in the last quarter.
The whole game ended up being 93:76 for Lýganus, which means that Hito needs an 18-point win to advance!
The best in Lýganus were Erik Raud 28p and Mergo Lindeberg 20p.
Edvard Trumm 29p was largely responsible for Hito's score.
The rematch will take place on May 8 at 20:00 in the Iisaku sports building.

In the second game, 1. Toila and 4. Sillamäe Gymnasium of the main tournament met.
Although Toila had a long game break and the start of the game was rough, they still managed to get a fairly safe lead 40:22 by halftime.
In the third quarter, Toila's good momentum continued and the gap narrowed to 63:32 after 31 points.
The final result of the game is 79:45 for Toila.
The rematch of this pair will also be held on May 8 at 19:00 in the Voka sports hall.
