On 18 November, the Just Transition Forum “Ida-Viru Residents and Businesses Amid Change. What Does Tomorrow Hold?” will take place at the Vaba Lava Theatre Centre in Narva.
This year’s forum will focus on the societal impact of initiatives launched in Ida-Viru County with the support of the Just Transition Fund. The results of a survey of Ida-Viru businesses and residents will be presented, and the impact of the transition process on people’s health, livelihoods and expectations for the future will be analysed.
The forum will also explore regional development scenarios created through cooperation between local experts and researchers, as well as experiences of the just transition in other European countries. What can Ida-Viru County and the rest of Estonia learn from these insights and experiences when shaping their future? What lies ahead for Ida-Viru County after the Just Transition Fund measures come to an end?
