The exhibition dedicated to the Year of the Estonian Book takes you on a journey into the world of the written word - from the first mention of the Estonian text to the manifesto of independence. In 12 panels, the exhibition provides an overview of how the printed word has touched every aspect of our lives and helped shape our perception of the world.
The comics are inspired by the joint article collection of the national libraries of Estonia and Latvia This First Book: 500 Years of Common Written Culture , which was released in May 2025.
