A spirited Roma Dance and Music Show Romano Ilo
Romas are passionate people whose folk dance and music are brought to the stage with bright emotions and enchanting energy flow. The these centuries of travel from India to Europe has enriched the motives of Roma's culture with the motifs of the Culture, creating a unique sound and dance style that can only be experienced at a real Gypsy party.
An unforgettable opportunity to dive into the depths of the Roma culture opens up in the folklore program "Romano Ilo" ("Mustlashing") created by the Gypsy dance ensemble. The concert will take place with the support of the Estonian Integration Foundation and the Estonian Ministry of Culture.
The Gypsy Dance Ensemble Al Sol, founded by Natalija Ilves in 2006, is dedicated to the professional preservation and development of Roma folklore dance. The ensemble consists of former professional dancers whose deep interest in Roma culture has led them to perform in Estonia, Latvia, Finland and Russia and France. Al Sol has won several winners at the Roma Cultural Festivals and twice in the silver medal at the World Cup.
This special evening will be made even more colorful by the Gypsy dance ensemble Maljarka from Tartu, who will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. Maljarka brings to the stage against the Tartu Spirit and the Dance of the Twenty -Years of Passion, adding a unique gypsy spark and joy to the program.
The national show program is enriched by outstanding musicians: charismatic singer Rafael Sharafetdinov (Gnesinski Music Institute) and guitar virtuoses Slava Bortsov and Alexander Nevski (Estonian Academy of Music and Theater). Hot rhythms and genuine emotions also bring the Khamoro performance group of the Gypsy Dance Hobby School.
Specially for the "Romano Ilo" concert, the band's costume designer Larianna Holm has created a number of new, eye -catching dance costumes that add shine and festive to the performance.
