Exhibition "Wonderful Moments"

Jelena Melnikova's exhibition "Wonderful Moments" is open on the second floor of the Jõhvi Concert Hall.
Elena Melnikova:
My taste has not changed since the beginning of the artistic journey. I still love to draw people, especially children. Children's spontaneity and sincerity always attract attention. I also enjoy painting landscapes, including cityscapes, flowers and animals. These scenes are captured in my paintings as wonderful moments of various events.
While practicing art over the years, I have noticed that despite my growing skills, "the painting paints itself". It is impossible to predict exactly what the result will be and in what mood the painting will be captured. It captivates and inspires me again and again!
The exhibition is dedicated to my mother, who supported me all these years and believed in my success.
The exhibition exhibits works from 2008-2024, and the first presentation of the exhibition "Imelisi hetki" took place on May 4, 2023.
I was born and live in Kohtla-Järve. I obtained my higher education in the field of chemical technology. I have been working with art for 18 years. I have been a member of the Kohtla-Järve artists' association for 15 years, and during these years I have participated in exhibitions of the artists' association twice a year.
Since 2022, I have been a member of the Association of Russian Artists in Estonia and I always participate in the association's exhibitions, which take place in different Estonian cities three or four times a year.
I took part in the MOST-3 and MOST-4 international art projects in Moscow. My solo exhibitions have taken place in Kohtla-Järve, Jõhvi and Sillamäe.
I like to draw nature, portraits, still lifes. I draw with oil, acrylic and watercolor paints, regular and colored pencils. I also do cold batik and porcelain animals. My works are in private collections in Norway, Italy, Latvia, Estonia and Russia.
