In Jõhvi City Gallery, Irina Horeva will be exhibiting an exhibition of patchwork works "Stories from Lapps under the blanket" from September 8.
Irina Horeva:
"I was born in Kohtla-Järve, studied medicine and worked at Ida-Viru Central Hospital.
I don't have an art education, but I work in the Art Moment Studio supervised by Irina Baleva. I have acquired knowledge and skills about the nuances of light, shadows, form, volume, shape, proportions, color gamut, development of fantasy, and I use all this in my own patchwork works, which I have been working on for six years.
I like doing patchwork - choosing colors, small pieces of patchwork and fitting them into a single whole. A piece of my time, mood, fantasy and warmth remains in every finished item. .
Three years ago, my first exhibition was in Kohtla-Järve.
The Jõhvi city gallery exhibition is like a small part of a hobby that has become a part of my life in textile art.
