Feature film "on the water"
'On the water' has a look spiced with sharp humor and nostalg 🧒 the life of an early teenage boy 📻 In the early eighties in Võru. 🎭 The sadness of the sadness where 🚪 There is no escape from problems - only 🌊 To Lake Tamula, 🎣 fish to catch.

The film is in Estonian, subtitles: Russian and English.

Old Master Peeter Simm's film stays on one wave with Olavi Ruitlas as the same name book of the same name, at the same time "in the backyard" and "Spring", comic and tragic, lyrical and grotesque, delicate and cruel. Here are many of the first: the first dill sweatshirt, the first love, the first exposure to death - in addition, a number of janty cases that can only take place in the Soviet absurd fertile conditions. Because the backyard is the theater stage of the common people, where everyone directs the play "My Life".

However, this is not a story about the absurdity of the Soviet era, the sunset of one era, but of becoming human in an imperfect world. All the characters in this naively genuine universe - from a recidivist to communist - want to be loved. That is the most important. (Tiit core, PÖFF)
