The adventure comedy inspired by Mihkel Raua's popular novel of the same name takes us into the crazy world of young musicians of the late 1980s. Blue and white are still forbidden, the national border is made of barbed wire, and it is not even allowed to dream of freedom.
The bravura 17-year-old Mihkel sets off on a summer journey with his heavy band to perform at the first music festival of his life. His friend and rival Hendrik, whose band has just disbanded, offers to accompany the band to impress the foreign music producers invited to the festival.
A rocking dream team is assembled and the ride can begin. To Mihkli's surprise, Hendrik has taken his new bride Liisa with him on the trip, who happens to be the girl of Mihkli's dreams. A tour full of bravado and alcohol gets going, the young heroes race through the absurd situation of Soviet Estonia and collide head-on with period comedy. Raju's road trip tests friendship, love and dreams. A journey full of music and adventures culminates in a music festival where young rockers must get the answer to the question "to be or not to be?".
