“Dinner with fools” There is a witty comedy where laughter and irony go hand in hand, and a seemingly light topic hides deeper thoughts.
Each week, a group of arrogant intellectuals organizes dinner with… fools. Everyone thinks it brings the most ridiculous guest to laugh together. But this time, not everything goes as planned.
The protagonist Brochan, a confident publisher, finds a "perfect" candidate - a simple -minded tax inspector whose passion is to build a match. But this "stupid" does not turn out to be that easy. Instead of becoming a laugh, Pignon turns all the life of Brochan on the head. The evening, which was supposed to be fun, is becoming an increasingly absurd catastrophe, where the arrogant intellectual is the victim of its own plan.
Francis Veber's play is full of witty dialogues and satire. This ridicules snobby and reminds that true stupidity often lies in arrogance.
