Songs from two notebooks of spiritual folk tunes from Krieg are played - the trio's improvisations add color. Cyrillus Kreeg's arrangements of Estonian folk tunes for a mixed choir are close to modern, folk music-influenced Northern European jazz music in terms of their Nordic crisp, clear sound language and rich harmonic nuances.

Guitarist Jaak Sooäär has had the honor of performing this music together with the excellent chamber choir Collegium Musicale under the direction of Endrik Üksvärava, which also released the album "Cyrillus Kreek. Sacred Folk Tunes" (ERP) in 2023.

From this powerful experience, the idea arose to translate the folk song arrangements of Kreeg into the language of improvisational chamber jazz, for which Sooäär has involved the rising star of the Estonian jazz scene, the singer Anett Tamme, and the double bass legend Taavo Remmel, who feels at home in different musical styles.
