Freedom Festival 2025

From August 15 to 19, 2025, the international Freedom Theatre Festival will take place in Narva for the third time, giving a voice to creators from various countries who, despite restrictions on freedom of speech and action, bring the question of freedom to the stage.

This year’s festival program includes performances from nearly ten countries, including Ukraine, Pakistan, Turkey, Georgia, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Estonia. The focus is on power, memory, and identity. Several productions are based on documentary material. The curators selected the final lineup from nearly one hundred productions.
