What is the 1st Advent?
First Advent marks the beginning of the period of waiting for Christmas and is the first of the four Advent Sundays. On this day, the first candle is lit, symbolizing peace, hope and light. It is a time for calmness, good thoughts, preparation of the heart and joyful anticipation before Christmas.
